Employment Department

CLUES’ Employment Department assists clients in seeking and maintaining employment.  Through one-on-one, culturally- and linguistically-appropriate job counseling, counselors assess each participant to determine the level of “employ-ability” and obtain information that will help the job counselor determine appropriate activities, workshops, referrals, individual trainings, etc., as well as track clients’ progress along the path to self-sufficiency.  Employment Services also offers the following services to its clients:

• The Employer of Choice Program: Over 230 partner employers use our web-based Job Bank to post job openings, which enables our counselors to make successful matches for both the companies and participants. CLUES’ Employers of Choice are also invited and encouraged to come to our offices to talk about their companies and hiring processes, conduct interviews, and hire participants on the spot.
• The  Job Fair and Community Resource event: This was created to provide our community with the best opportunities to meet leading employers committed to diversifying their workforce and organizations with excellent resources to help our families.
• Career and Community Resource Centers: Located in both our Minneapolis and St. Paul offices, Employment Services and walk-in clients can come to these centers and receive free access to the Internet, fax and copier machines, and telephones.
