CLUES' Leadership Staff

 
President
Ruby Azurdia-Lee has been selected as the new President of CLUES and will begin her tenure on July 16.  Lee brings extensive nonprofit and philanthropic experience to her new post. For the last 16 years she worked for The Saint Paul Foundation and the Northwest Area Foundation in anti-racism and anti-poverty efforts respectively. As a Program Director at the Northwest Area Foundation, she provided leadership in planning and carrying out the Foundation’s new strategic direction. The Northwest Area Foundation focuses on expanding economic, leadership, and policy opportunities for low-income people across an eight-state region. Throughout her 30-year career, Lee has served on numerous boards and committees. She has also provided leadership on several national philanthropic boards including: Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees, based in California, and the Four Freedoms Fund, based in New York City. These funder-led Boards focus on immigrant integration and immigration efforts across the country. Lee was born and raised in Guatemala City, where her family still resides. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Metropolitan State University in Saint Paul, Minn. Lee, and her husband Steve, have two children, Andrea Celeste and Erick Alejandro.   
 
 
Director of Human Resources
Brenna Ouedraogo joined CLUES in 2009 as the Human Resources and Facilities Coordinator. Prior to working at CLUES, Ms. Ouedraogo completed a human resources internship at the Boy Scouts of America, Northern Star Council, and worked in sales operations at General Mills. Ms. Ouedraogo earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Management and Spanish from Gustavus Adolphus College and also has a Master of Arts degree in Human Resource Management from Concordia University, Saint Paul.   


Director of Chemical Health Services
Judy Cavazos-Beal holds a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (LAMFT). Ms. Cavazos-Beal also holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology, Educational Psychology, and Public Health. In addition to being a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), Ms. Cavazos-Beal has eleven years of experience providing chemical health services. 
 
 
Director of Family Enrichment Services
Cira Sanchez holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the City College of New York. With twenty years of experience working in the child protection services field, including nine years as a Child Protection Worker, Ms. Sanchez provides quality support for at-risk families.

Vice-President of Programs
Karla Bachmann has worked with the Latino community in Minnesota since 2003. Prior to her work at CLUES, Ms. Bachmann worked at US Bank as a Sales and Service Manager where she provided services to the Latino and Somali communities. As a Global Career Development Facilitator at CLUES, she obtained various certifications in the areas of home ownership and foreclosure, financial literacy, and wealth management counseling.
 
 
Director of Development and Marketing
Erin Pavlovic has worked in various capacities including teaching and professional writing. She holds a Master's degree in English from South Dakota State University has been part of the development team at CLUES since 2008.
