Access to Healthy Food

CLUES connects our community to nutritious foods and other resources to keep families healthy.

Eating healthy foods is essential to living a long and healthy life.

However, many in our community face barriers to accessing adequate healthy food for their families.

CLUES offers a variety of programs to help increase access to and knowledge about healthy and nutritious food.

Canasta Familiar – Free Food Distribution

Canasta Familiar is a free food distribution program held every Monday at the CLUES St. Paul office and every Wednesday at the CLUES Minneapolis office.

Each week, Canasta Familiar receives donations that include fresh produce (fruits and vegetables), meat, and other non-perishable items. Foods vary according to availability.

Families can choose their food and select the items that are most appropriate for their homes. There is a limit of one basket per family. Read the full program guidelines here.
