David Garcia is Senior Director of Home and Services Operations at Best Buy, where he leads strategies supporting services fulfillment for core, complex, and commercial customers. Since joining Best Buy in 2002, David has held leadership roles across both field and corporate operations and currently oversees U.S. large-product in-home fulfillment and services, including delivery, installation, and repair programs.

David is also deeply committed to advancing Latino representation and community engagement. As a senior leader within Best Buy’s Latinx Employee Resource Group, he helps strengthen connections among employees, customers, and communities. He has also served on Best Buy’s Twin Cities Fund Board, working with local leaders to support community organizations and initiatives, with a particular focus on youth development and access to technology through programs such as Geek Squad Academy and Teen Tech Centers.

Raised on the West Side of Saint Paul in the Torre de San Miguel community, David maintains strong ties to the neighborhood and regularly participates in local community activities. Outside of work, he values spending time with his family and creating opportunities for his immediate and extended family to come together.

Judith Garcia Galiana is President of Galiana Consulting, where she advises organizations and leaders on business transformation, operational excellence, strategic growth, and organizational performance. Drawing on more than 20 years of global leadership experience at 3M, Judith helps clients navigate complex challenges by aligning people, strategy, technology, and operations to create sustainable value.

Before founding Galiana Consulting, Judith served as Senior Vice President of 3M’s Global Service Centers, leading a global organization of approximately 5,000 employees across Costa Rica, Poland, and the Philippines. The Global Service Centers supported 3M’s parent company and more than 100 subsidiaries worldwide, delivering critical services across Finance, Sourcing, Human Resources, Information Technology, Tax, and Customer and Digital Operations. Under Judith’s leadership, the organization created value across both front- and back-office operations through productivity, automation, growth, process optimization, and operational excellence.

Judith began her career as a process engineer and held a wide range of senior global positions at 3M, including serving as Global Vice President of two commercial divisions with more than $1 billion in revenue. Her experience also includes leadership in Global Change Management, serving as a Country Managing Director, and holding several business leadership roles across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Throughout her career, Judith has led complex global organizations and business transformations, bringing together people, strategy, technology, and operations to drive sustainable growth and organizational performance.

A native of Madrid, Spain, Judith holds an MBA from IESE Business School at the University of Navarra and a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. Her international career has taken her to Milan, Brussels, Istanbul, and London. She moved to Saint Paul, Minnesota, more than a decade ago and became a proud U.S. citizen in 2020. Judith is fluent in Spanish, Italian, French, and English.

In addition to her professional responsibilities, Judith is committed to giving back through community service and education. She serves on the Board of the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and on the advisory councils of Bologna University Business School and the Madrid Industrial Engineering School. Outside of work, Judith and her husband, Alberto, are avid skiers and share a passion for classical music, opera, and art.

Henrique Bahr serves as VP of  Finance for Cargill’s Animal Nutrition Americas and Global Additives group. In this role, he helps shape and execute business strategy, drive growth, manage the portfolio, lead business turnarounds, and strengthen critical finance capabilities.

Throughout his career at Cargill, Henrique has held a range of global leadership positions. He led Finance for the Protein Asia & Europe group in Amsterdam, served on the Board of Directors of Avara Foods in the United Kingdom, and led Sugar, Dairy, and Vegetable Oils Trading for Cargill Cocoa and Chocolate North America. He also worked in Corporate Strategy and Development, where he led mergers and acquisitions and strategic initiatives across multiple countries and business units. Before joining Cargill, Henrique worked as a portfolio manager and equity analyst in Brazil’s hedge fund industry.

Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Henrique earned an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). He and his wife, Molly, live in Minneapolis.

As a member of the CLUES Board of Directors, Henrique brings extensive expertise in finance, strategy, international business, and organizational leadership. Gema Alvarado-Guerrero is a Learning & Talent Development Manager at Hormel Foods, where she supports operational teams and champions lifelong learning and holistic workforce development. A Riverland Community College alumna and first-generation college student, Gema holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in clinical social work.

Her professional experience spans education, nonprofit leadership, social services, and workforce development, including roles as an executive director, parent educator, and adjunct instructor. Throughout her career, Gema has been passionate about creating opportunities, strengthening communities, and helping individuals reach their full potential.

As a member of the CLUES Board of Directors, Gema brings her experience in workforce development, education, and community leadership, along with her commitment to empowering individuals and families, to support CLUES’ mission of advancing social and economic equity and wellbeing for Latino families and communities.

Dr. José Bernard is Vice President of Medical Affairs at United Hospital, part of Allina Health, where he provides physician leadership focused on advancing clinical excellence, quality, and patient-centered care. A board-certified family medicine physician and hospitalist, Dr. Bernard brings extensive experience in both direct patient care and healthcare leadership.

Throughout his career, Dr. Bernard has demonstrated a strong commitment to improving health outcomes and strengthening the quality of care for patients and communities. His clinical interests include infection prevention, diabetes, and obesity, bringing valuable perspective on the complex health needs affecting individuals and families.

Dr. Bernard completed his medical education at the University of Kansas School of Medicine and his residency through the University of Minnesota/St. Joseph’s Hospital Program.

Cristóbal Cevallos is a Senior Marketing Manager for Global Food & Beverage at Ecolab, where he leads cross-functional initiatives spanning innovation, commercialization, digital solutions, and portfolio strategy. A global marketing and strategy leader, he brings experience translating customer insights and market dynamics into sustainable business growth across B2B and B2C sectors, including food and beverage, water, hygiene, technology, and media.

Originally from Mexico, Cristóbal began his professional career in Monterrey and has since built an international career working across markets, cultures, and functions. He holds an MBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey.

Beyond his corporate work, Cristóbal is deeply committed to community engagement and inclusive leadership. He serves on the Board of East Side Learning Center and co-leads Ecolab’s Twin Cities Latino and Hispanic employee resource group. He is passionate about education, science, and creating meaningful connections that strengthen organizations and communities.

Andrea C. Mejía Narváez is a commercial litigation attorney at Sapientia Law Group, where she advises national and international clients on complex business, corporate, and cross-border matters. Originally from Colombia, Andrea is licensed to practice law in both Colombia and Minnesota and brings a valuable bicultural and bilingual perspective to her work.

Andrea is an active leader in the legal community, including service with the Hispanic National Bar Association and the Minnesota Hispanic Bar Association. She is also a passionate advocate for survivors of human trafficking and is committed to using her legal expertise, leadership, and voice to strengthen and empower communities.

Dr. Phillip Rivera is a behavioral neuroimmunologist and assistant professor in the Department of Biology at Macalester College. His research explores how the brain and immune system interact to influence learning, memory, and addiction, with the goal of advancing treatments for neurological and mental health conditions.

As an educator and scientist, Dr. Rivera is committed to fostering curiosity, creating inclusive learning environments, and mentoring the next generation of researchers. He believes in the importance of lifelong learning, strong relationships, and using science to improve lives.

As a member of the CLUES Board of Directors, Dr. Rivera brings a unique perspective at the intersection of education, health, and community. His dedication to expanding opportunities, promoting equity, and supporting Latino communities aligns with CLUES' mission to advance social and economic prosperity for individuals and families.

Fred Schiller is a senior global business and operations executive with more than two decades of leadership experience at 3M, where he has held roles spanning integrated business operations, customer operations, business development, and international markets. His career includes leadership assignments in the United States, Latin America, and Asia Pacific, including serving as Managing Director of 3M Chile. Fred holds an Executive MBA from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management and brings extensive experience in global leadership, strategy, operational excellence, and organizational transformation to his service on the CLUES Board of Directors.

Dr. Paula Skarda is Chair of Credentialing at Regions Hospital and an Associate Program Director for the University of Minnesota Internal Medicine Residency Program. She has spent her entire 26-year career at Regions Hospital, serving in multiple leadership capacities, including Chief of Staff and Regional Assistant Medical Director for HealthPartners Medical Group.

Trained in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, Paula has provided care in inpatient and outpatient settings throughout her career. A native of Saint Paul, she is deeply committed to serving the community where she grew up. She joined Regions Hospital in 1997, drawn to its mission of serving and strengthening the surrounding community, a commitment that continues to guide her work today.

Paula earned a BS in Biochemistry from the University of Minnesota, where she also completed medical school and a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. In addition to chairing the Credentials Committee at Regions Hospital, she chairs the Community Engagement Committee and serves on the Anchor Strategy Committee.

As a member of the CLUES Board of Directors, Paula brings her extensive healthcare leadership experience and deep commitment to community service to support CLUES’ mission of advancing social and economic equity and wellbeing for Latino families and communities.

Vinicius (Vinny) Silva is Senior Vice President of Technology at Solventum. The son of Brazilian and Portuguese parents and coming from humble beginnings, Vinny has built a distinguished 26-year career leading large-scale and complex business transformations for Global 2000 companies.

Vinny earned his bachelor’s degree from Mackenzie Presbyterian University in São Paulo, Brazil, an Executive MBA from INSEAD in France, and an Advanced Certificate for Executives from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). His international background and extensive leadership experience have shaped his passion for innovation, transformation, and creating opportunities for others.

Vinny is married to his longtime love, Andrea, and is the proud father of Sofia, Sebastian, and Santiago. Outside of work, he is an avid CrossFit athlete and marathon runner.

Esther Wildermuth is Director of Human Resources – DEI and Corporate Giving at Xcel Energy, where she leads initiatives focused on building an inclusive workplace, strengthening employee engagement, and creating meaningful community impact. She is a passionate advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion, and Latino leadership, with extensive experience connecting corporate strategy with community engagement. Beyond her role at Xcel Energy, Esther has served in leadership roles with organizations including LatinoLEAD and Summit Academy OIC. As a member of the CLUES Board of Directors, she brings her expertise in organizational leadership, inclusion, and community investment to help advance opportunities and strengthen Latino communities.
